This privacy policy applies to the FamilyForest app (the "Application") for iOS devices.

1. Data Storage and Sync

All data you create in FamilyForest — including family trees, member profiles, photos, and relationships — is stored locally on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's private CloudKit database. The Developer does not operate any server or database that stores your data. Your data remains in your iCloud account and is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy protections.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

FamilyForest does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any third-party servers. Specifically:

• The Application does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
• The Application does not collect your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, location data, or usage patterns.
• The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data.
• The Developer has no access to your family tree data, photos, or any content you create within the app.

3. Photos and Media

Photos you add to family member profiles are stored on your device and synced through your iCloud account. The Developer cannot access, view, or retrieve these photos. Photos are never transmitted to any server other than Apple's iCloud infrastructure associated with your personal Apple ID.

4. Feedback and Logs

The Application includes a built-in feedback feature that allows you to optionally send diagnostic logs to the Developer via email. No logs are submitted automatically — you must explicitly choose to share them. Logs are automatically sanitized to remove personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, and coordinates. Feedback emails are sent from your own email account and are processed solely for the purpose of troubleshooting issues you report.

5. Children's Privacy

FamilyForest is designed to be used by families, including parents and guardians managing family history information that may include details about their children. The Application does not knowingly solicit or collect any personal information directly from children under the age of 13. The Developer encourages parents and legal guardians to supervise their children's use of the Application. If you believe that a child has submitted personal information through the Application, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

6. Data Control and Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• You can delete family trees, members, and photos at any time from within the Application.
• The Settings screen provides an option to clear all data, which deletes all locally stored data and syncs the deletion through your iCloud account.
• Since the Developer does not have access to your data, deletion requests must be performed by you within the Application. The Developer cannot delete your data on your behalf.

7. Security

Your data is protected by Apple's CloudKit security architecture and your iCloud account security settings. The Application uses SwiftData for local persistence and Apple's recommended data protection mechanisms. The Developer is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information through appropriate technical measures.

8. Third-Party Services

The Application does not integrate any third-party analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, or external data processing services. The only external service involved in data handling is Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), which is subject to Apple's privacy policy and terms of service.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Application after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Your Consent

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
